General Information

Name:
Prophet
Nickname: Proph

Age: 21
Breed: Akhal-Teke x Paint
Gender: Stallion
Orientation: Hetero
Height: 17.1 HH

Herd Affiliation: Exile Herd of the Southern Island
Rank: High Guard Stallion

Personality

[Assertive][Vengeful][Regretful][Volatile][Fearless][Neuroticism]

Assertive:
Prophet will put his foot down- calmly. He doesn't necessarily like to fight about things, but he will if need be. He has an authoritative aura about him that others generally don't refuse or argue him. Prophet believes his input is valuable as anyone elses, unless the subject is none of his concern. As a high guard, he has developed a calm-assertive energy to deal with things around him.

Vengeful:
While the stallion is usually even-tempered and kind, if you wrong him he will be sure to bring you a lesson you won't soon forget. Though usually this is just a swift kick, and it takes a lot to trigger a response from the usually controlled stallion.

Regretful:
He isn't really proud of a lot of the things he's done, which is why he is who he is currently. While he loves all creatures, he will raise a hoof to you if you provoke him. There's a piece of him that enjoys brutality, as much as he hates and fights off this side.

Volatile:
When emotions get in the way, it's usually an erratic affair. He usually isolates himself during periods of angry outbursts, and often acts on impulse, can even be violent if continued prodding ensues. This only happens when extreme emotional distress consumes him.

Fearless:
This sort of speaks for itself. Very few things legitimately scare Prophet. Even the unicorns, who he has respect for.

Neuroticism:
Has a tendency to experience unpleasant emotions (see volatile, for example) though he is almost always in control of his own emotions. He is often stressed or worried about something- though he will comfort others who are feeling the same with a 'Don't worry' or the like as he's usually more concerned about others than himself.

History

Birth:

Prophet was born in late spring/early summer on a stormy day to a pair of Olde herd mates. He was a scrawny, but rather tall colt and deemed 'fragile'. His Akhal-Teke father was alarmed when first son seemed to be absolutely riddled with markings that looked like crosses- the most notable one running down and across his throat. The painted new mother comforted her mate, saying the unicorn gods had blessed their son specifically. Thus, he was named 'Prophet'.

Foal: (0-10 years)
The colt loved to race. He was one of the fastest foals, happy that he was good at something. One day he literally ran right into another colt, toppling them both over. He apologized profusely, but once the older foal saw the upside-down cross that adorned the left side of Prophet's face, the colt lashed at him, telling him that the unicorns had forsaken him. Prophet suddenly became reclusive and unhappy. Until he made a friend in a filly. She had seen the crashing accident, then for months didn't see him with the same group of foals until she found him under his favorite willow.

Teenager (11-18)
Prophet continued to get more and more attached and almost dependent on the young mare, little did he know that she was close friends with another colt. She continued to spend her time with both of them, not to the other's knowledge, to decide who was the better future mate. The gentile Prophet would always bring her wildflower, occasionally butterflies would land in his mane that he would present for the mare.
He was sure he loved her, whole heartedly, but the mare began spending more time with her other option. He was at his full height of a massive 17.1 hands, his coat was healthy and shiny, and when he was in his top physical form, he asked the mare to be his mate. It was her answer that lit the fire in his world. She revealed she was carrying a foal, and was not sure which stallion's it was. Prophet, in a blind rage, challenged the other stallion.
Prophet took no sufficient or permanent damage, but won easily after knocking his opponent to the ground- he might've killed him had the mare not ran to his rescue- and chosen him. It came to his decision that he could no longer call this place his home with all of the controversy over his crosses on top of having to see this mare, who chose the weaker stallion, with the possibility that he sired a foal, and on the last night the land bridge was still crossable, he exiled himself.

Adult-Guard
He joined the herd of fellow Exiles, angry at the world and everyone in it. The herd embraced him happily, and the first trickles of his normality began coming back to him. Though he remained prone to more undesirable emotions, he was at least outwardly stable. His dreams of the mare and foal often plague his nights and he finds it hard to sleep- thus no one has ever seen him do it. For a while he was rather frail looking due to depression.
Due to his heartbreak, Prophet is now hesitant to trust. He still wants to settle with a mate and have foals, when he finds one who will not lead him on and hurt him like before. He works diligently to keep his mind off the past, and recently got back to his healthy looking form. His hard work earned him the guard position, which he takes extremely serious.

After the fire, Prophet stayed in relatively good shape.  He saved many of his herdmates that were trapped behind fallen trees, singing the back of his hind ankles a few times.
When the lead mare, Cael called for volunteers to swim to the Eastern isle, he offered to join the party- he was declined, however. Feeling guilty to see the majority of the Exiles suffering, Cael chose him to accompany a scout party to find the last green land on the Southern Isle. The herd would stay on the small patch of lush grass for weeks, until it began to deplete.

He and a fellow guard mare, Stormcry became very close after running into eachother on a patrol one night. They spent quite a bit of time together, often on the same green hill. She was among the first mares, or any horse for that matter, he was entirely comfortable around. Prophet began to notice his feelings developing into a strange, familiar and somewhat scary emotion. The night that Stormcry confessed she too had feelings, Prophet asked her to be his mate. The two would be married officially.

Cael later announced that she would be leading the herd across the land bridge to the Bachelor Island
not long after. She called for two guards to follow directly behind her as a first defense- Prophet and Stormcry took the positions. Deep into the journey, Stormcry revealed she was pregnant (though Prophet knew this much already) and he had a slight outburst due to the fear of his mate and foal being stolen and marked by the Bachelors. Their son was born prematurely on the East island, and since he was born at such a short time after the lost of their beloved friend, they named the new foal in his honor- Kale.

Soon after, Cael approached Prophet and Prime to promote them as the Exile's High Guards.

The Bachelors had been taking mares as payment for the Exile's stay on their island, until Klaus disappeared. What was left in his wake, a curly-eared snake of a stallion called Cain. Cain and his elites summoned Cael and the Exile elites, and agreed to take Cael as full payment as opposed to one mare per x amount of time. Prophet and the others pleaded Cael to consider other options, but her mind was made up. Hurt, Prophet became callous to the now ex-leader. He would later realize it was not Cael he was angry toward, and regret his cold farewell.
